There is no sound check button. Every destination is checked by itself, and its row shows one of three words. The same word shows on Destinations, under Choose destinations, and in the control room’s Destinations panel.
When it checks
- When you save a key, it checks the address and key are there and well-formed.
- Once a day, it checks again.
Nothing can prove a key works without going live. A platform is only called Proven after a live has actually gone out through it.
The three words
- Linked: connected, and waiting for its first live. “Turns Proven after your first live goes out here.” For TikTok: “You’ll paste a fresh key at GO LIVE — that’s the test. Turns Proven once a live goes out.”
- Proven: a live has gone out through it. Last live and the date sit under it.
- Needs attention: something to fix, with the fix on the row. Sign in again for a sign-in, Paste a new key for a key, and Check again on a check that failed. It shows yellow when a sign-in is about to run out, and red otherwise.
YouTube, Facebook and Instagram show Key saved on Destinations instead, and LinkedIn shows ◷ Key added each live.
YouTube: pick your saved key
The check reads the key you saved. It can’t see which key YouTube is listening on. In YouTube Studio, the Key dropdown has to show the key you saved, not the default one, or YouTube won’t show your video. Check it each time you go live.
How each platform connects: Destinations.
