Opening the door…

Drops

A drop is something you sell during a live. You make it ahead of time, and it stays hidden until you fire it. When you fire it, it's pinned to the top of your room with a countdown, and fans buy it right there without leaving the live.

A drop can be a new offer, such as a one-to-one call, or one of your Passes sold at a live price.

Make a drop

  1. Open Studio → Box Office, go to the Drops tab, and tap New drop.
  2. Give it a title. Choose A new offer, or pick one of your Passes under Sell a pass as a drop to fill in its details.
  3. Under What do they get?, say what the buyer gets.
  4. Set the price, and under How it bills choose one time or a repeating plan.
  5. Under Countdown, pick how long it stays on sale once you fire it: 5, 10 or 20 minutes, your own length, or none. 10 minutes is the default.
  6. Seat limit caps how many can be sold. 0 means no limit.
  7. Discount to show shows fans a discount on the card. It doesn't change the price you set.
  8. Tick Send a confirmation email to members on purchase to email each buyer when they buy.
  9. Tap Create drop.

You can also make a drop from the control room: the Drops panel has Create New Drop at the bottom, and it's the same form.

Fire it during a live

  1. In the control room, open the Drops panel. Your drops are listed there.
  2. Once you're live, tap Fire it now on the drop. Before you go live, the button is greyed out.
  3. The drop is pinned to the top of your room with its countdown. Tell the room about it.
  4. Fans tap Grab the offer and pay without leaving the room. Their spot is held while they pay, and nothing is charged until they do.
  5. When the countdown ends, it stops selling. Fire it again puts it back on sale.

One drop can be on sale at a time. While it's up, Extend by adds 5, 10 or 15 minutes to the countdown, and Take it down takes it off the room and puts it back in your list. When every seat is sold, the card shows it's gone.

Drops sell during the live only. They don't show on the Encore.

See what sold

The Drops panel shows how many have sold during the live. Afterwards, each sale shows on the Money page's statement and on Transactions, where you can refund a payment. The live's Report tab shows what sold in that live, and Analytics totals drops across your lives.

Each drop's menu on the Drops tab has Edit. A drop that hasn't sold anything can also be deleted.
