Clips are short vertical videos cut from the replay of a live, made for posting on your social platforms. You choose what kind of moments to look for, and the clips are cut for you.
Make clips from a live
- Open Studio → Encores and tap the live you want clips from.
- Tap Generate clips. A sheet opens. Nothing is used up until you press the button at the bottom.
- Under What should they find?, pick the kind of moment: Let it choose, Viral moments, Emotional moments, Highlights, Takeaways, Punchlines or Quotes.
- Under Up to how many clips?, pick a number. A replay can give fewer clips than that.
- Under Frame, pick One speaker or Two speakers stacked.
- Leave Burn captions into the clips on to put the words on screen. Caption look sets the font, size and colours.
- Turn on Add an opening title card to start each clip with a title made from the clip.
- Tap Generate clips. It usually takes 10 to 15 minutes, and you're notified when they're ready.
Each plan comes with a number of clips a month. The Plan page shows how many you've made this month. Plans that include it also show a switch on the sheet to remove the Backstage mark from the clips.
Post clips
- Open Studio → Clips. Every clip from every live is here.
- Tick the clips you want to post.
- Tap the Post button in the bar at the bottom, for example Post 3 clips. The post sheet opens.
- Under Where, pick the platforms.
- Under When, pick Now, or Schedule to set a start day and post one every few days.
- Under Caption, write one caption for all of them, or one for each clip.
- Tap the Post button at the bottom of the sheet.
A platform has to be connected for clips before you can post to it. On Destinations, tap Connect in the Clips Posting column and sign in to that platform. This is separate from connecting a platform for lives.
One clip
Tap a clip to open its own page. It shows the clip's name, its score, where it's been posted, and how long it is. Post this clip posts just this one. Download clip saves the video file.
Keep or discard
Hover over a clip and tap Discard to take it out of your list. The Discarded pill shows what you've discarded. Discarded clips are kept for 60 days, and Bring it back returns one to the list.
Find a clip
The pills at the top of the Clips page show All, Ready, Posted, Scheduled or Discarded. From every live narrows the page to the clips from one live.
